Hmmm this is a first... I'm being flown to a meeting in a big agency in
London on tuesday to discuss all the brand stuff I've been working on...
exciting! Smile

And... I just got my first bit if XSLT working... (which was a
nightmare... horrible stuff).

What's the furthest anyone has flown for a meeting?

Dallas to Sidney. (and I don't recommend mixing jet lag with Aussie beer).

Ottawa, Ontario to Washington, DC, is about the furthest for me (Or Ottawa
to Newark, NJ, for the same client).

Doesn't happen often, but given I'm ga-ga for flying, if a client suggests
they want to fly me somewhere for a face-to-face, I'm all for it Smile

My longest trip for a meeting was Vancouver, BC to Calgary... not that far
overall but was for a 1 hour meeting... arrived in Calgary at noon and then
5pm I was back on a plane returning to Vancouver (I hear there wasn't much
to see in Calgary anyhow)<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Chicago to Vancouver BC. I met with the client for about 6 hours,
stayed two extra days with the wife to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

I added my airfare and one day's worth of hotel and meals to the
invoice. The client never questioned it.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Paris, and I was taken to lunch....

Oh, and I *like* the French.

That said, I also conducted research in Jamaica, and had a meeting in
Boca Raton (Florida) though I was going to Miami anyway.

Hmm, you're right. I wasn't thinking about that meeting though, so now I
can up the estimate to a whole *ten* minutes walking distance! Smile

I flew from Glasgow to Southampton (500 miles) a few times to do
presentations.

I would imagine that our chums in the good ol' would have done more than
that!

Yeah, in those days, it was the company's money - when I could find time to
file expense reports. For example, that trip went Dallas to Sidney to
Singapore to Paris to Heidelberg to Dallas. Biiiiig expense report, and
biiiig hole in credit card and biig pile of coins from all over when it was
done.
