IIS 6 management from XP

I understand that there is no way to manage IIS 6 from Windows XP using any
MMC tool and that this feature was planned for XP Service Pack 2. However,
in the light that SP2 has been pushed back into the middle of 2004,
Microsoft - PLEASE reconsider releasing the admin pack prior to that. It is
simply not acceptable to have to wait more than a year after the release of
the server OS to get appropriate administration tools for the latest desktop
OS. Some manager should be brought to task for this ridiculous oversight.
