Archived from groups: alt>ecommerce (more info?)

i am working on my very first site to do payment processing. i am using
paypal's web payments pro, and all it is, is just a donate page where
people can use their credit card to make a donation online.

although i have figured out all of the technical stuff, i'm worried
about legal issues that need to be dealt with. for something that
simple, should there be a terms of service? if someone hacks the site,
is there any protection that i have as the developer? i'm sure there a
lot of other little things that i haven't even thought of.

basically i just wanted to find out what steps i should take from
others who have had more experience in this type of thing.

any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
