I am sending jpg images to the ftp folder and I have a
web page that displays the pictures. The images are
updated every 60 seconds. The images are not visible to
visitors. I am thinking it is a permissions problem but I
am new to iis so I am not sure.
Thank you for your assistance.

What user does your site run under?
Does this user have read permission to the folder you
upload to?

Hi,

What makes you think it's a permission problem? Do they get a logon box?
This sounds like a webcam, have you tried to create a simple page, with a
<img src="link to image here" /> and see if that works?

Please post back some more information about the actually problem. What is
happening? Does this work for you, but nobody else? Does it work on the
local machine?

I am sorry I should have given more info.
A user will have to provide a password to view this
particular page.
It is just a simple page with two small jpg images.
The page is set to refresh every 30 seconds. This is
because the image is over written every 30 seconds. The
cameras providing the images are actually servers that
are using ftp to transfer the images to my web server.
The reason I think it is a permissions problem is because
from the server using explorer I can open the page
(double click on the page and it open in Internet
Explorer) and view it and the images are updated ok.
Coming across the network or the internet I cannot view
the images. All I can see is a square box the size of the
images.

Run filemon and regmon from www.sysinternals.com and look to see what is failing, and what process is accessing it. If this is an
anonymous site, then I assume that the folder holding all of the images has Read Permissions for the IUSR account. You will need IWAM
if it is an asp page that holds the images, and if the site is run in either medium or high app protection.

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.
