Post subject: .htaccess passwords
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hello,

I am trying to configure .htaccess to block access to a development area on
my website hosted on godaddy.com. All of the features in .htaccess seem to
work except for passwords. I know that the password file has to be encrypted
but godaddy.com does not supply a password generator. I have tryed
generators for other sites but they all generate different passwords and
none of them work at godaddy.com. Am I screwed?
