I have these error opening pages in localhost (WIN XP PRO)

Server Application Error
The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the
processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail
information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.



in the event log there is this message:
server can't load application '/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT'.
Error: Interface non registered.

how can I solve this ?

Do you have a network connection enabled and active?

Post the *full* event log error or look it up at support.microsoft.com
or eventid.net.

You need the following for IIS to work:
MS client
TCP/IP configured
NIC (or loopback adapter)

If you have the above, try 309051 from support.microsoft.com
