Okay...
1) a rating system sort of like the comments system on ebay would solve
problems with bad sellers very quickly. I am sure some sort of
mediation and fraud prevention services would be offered for an
additional surcharge.
2) Google would look like the world's biggest store in this scenario.
They may not hold the products, be selling them, or shipping them, but
they provide the front for everything, and a place for the customers to
go. To consumers, it would look and feel like a store for the most
part.
Bottom line, this is a huge move that could generate some serious
revenue, and drive even more traffic to Google.
