Hi.
I have been looking around for a decent webhosting company for a few
weeks now .. I'm not sure which one is actually a good company that
doesnt pull any tricks on you (Such as trying to prevent your domain
name to leave their company, hidden fees, etc.) ...
I was interesting in the www.IXWEBHOSTING.COM, but I'm not to sure
about the company itself. They claim to have great service, and the
prices and features are great .. But I cannot find any indepedant host
ratings websites to mention them, except for the one the top ten
webhosting chart website which they own . And go figure they are rated
#1 on there too ..
Any one have success with a budget webhosting company that has nice
features?

Look for hosting companies that have been in business for years, offer the
services you want for the price you like. I don't trust host directories.
They seem to rate highly their sponsors.

hosting customers hang out there and are not paid for their reviews or
opinions.

Just thought it was a strange name for a webhost comparison site. I notice
the ICE stands for Independent Communications Express, so I suppose there is
some logic to it!

Yes Charles. Independent Communications Express (ICE) Is Hot.
I don't know... Red's right. Sounded good at the time and it was available.
Since then I have purchased bunchahosting.com and would love to use it, but
I got
IceIsHot spread out all over the place and it has a pretty good PR. I would
have to
start my linking campaign all over again. Sheesh... I hate to even think
about it.

I have been using affordablehost.com for a few weeks now and have been
happy with their service. They've even got support via IRC
