Another tip regarding how to have your web site found by someone using
Google or another search engine.

If you have pictures on the site, use descriptive names for them that
other people will understand, so not internal stock numbers or "my
car". For example, if you have a picture of a car, use the car's name
and model as the picture name, such as "Ford Mondeo.jpg". There is
some controversy over the use of spaces in file names, so you may
prefer "Ford_Mondeo.jpg".

This will enable people looking on the Google image search for "Ford
Mondeo" to locate your picture and possibly view the picture in the
original web page.

Spaces in URLs are illegal unless encoded as "%20", so you'd have to use
the rather ugly URL "Ford%20Mondeo.jpg".

No. Use ford-mondeo.jpg. Always use hyphens as word separators in
URLs.

I usually use hephens (dash) as word separators but mostly because I think
it's easier to retype - are you saying there's an SEO reason to use them
rather than u/scores?

Yes. That it is easy to type and read by humans is good too.
