Hello,

Any firewall that has the features you need. I usually recommend a
hardware firewall.

try not to use any software firewall with your 2003 server. Debugging becomes
very difficult. Try to use any hardware firewall in front of the 2003 server.

The one you know how to correctly configure. That may be the Server
2003 included firewall, a third-party personal firewall or a hardware
firewall. The preference is for the latter for the best security and
configurability, but the highest cost.

Please no flames everyone uses what they are successful with. Read

If you are thinking of a software FW then I have used BlackIce server.
It's always worked great and It is running on both 5 and iis6.

It doesn't take up much as far as resources. My servers are not super
high volume as far as data-transfer but plenty of sites, mail, ftp dns
etc.

So, just to let you know that it does work and we have never had
problems with it.

It's more than a firewall. It's also IDS/IPS.

Hopefully your question does not imply a firewall will be your only method
of defense as a firewall is security with holes, by design. Network
security works best in layers, like paint.
