Post subject: Cannot find hardware sentinel
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hello everyone,

I have an ASPNET 1.1 app that checks for the an hardware sentinel (by
safenet). The app has been running ok for years. After switching off a
production machine (winXP, so IIS 5.1), when interfacing with the hardware
sentinel driver i receive an error that states that the sentinel cannot be
found... On the same machine I have a standard app and also a service (all
in ASP.NET 1.1) that find the sentinel, so the driver and the interfacing
dll is ok...

Tried to uninstall and reinstall latest version of safenet driver, also
uninstalled and reinstalled my ASPNET application but to no avail, I keep
getting that error saying the hardware key cannot be found...

Can someone please point me to more things I can check???

Thanx in advance
Paolo
