Post subject: After a fiew hours Apache do nothing
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hello,

I have an apache 2 server on linux with a webagent installed.
I start the apache and it work correctly. After a fiew hours, the httpd
increase to the the limit configured in the httpd.conf (500) and apache
doesn't respond.
When i start top or sar, the system is idle 98% and there is no probleme
with memory, fileopen, inode; etc ...

There is no message in the error file of apache.
When i ask a ps, i see all process http (more the 1000) with the status
"semtim". I dont kwon what it mean !
The netstat give me a lot off connexion like :
tcp 0 0 santana:50135 10.160.18.210:44443 ESTABLISHED 10744/httpd

Does anybody have already the same probleme ? Your Help would be
appreciated.

Ghislain (France)
