I am running an Apache 2 server on Windows XP and I want to use
..htaccess. It works fine with plain text passwords in the .htpasswd
file, but if I encrypt the password, it will not work. i.e.:

foo:bar
me:AdsSdkskSD42

Supposing AdsSdkskSD42 was "too" encrypted, I can only get into the
directory I specified with .htaccess using foo as user and bar as
password. me and too will not work. How do I get it to work with
encrypted passwords?

Thanks,
Philippe

It sounds like you're using two different version of encryption.
Be sure to use always the same encryption for creating the password
and checking it.
