How can I email newsletter subscribers?

My web host is ipowerweb. They tell me I can send 100 mails at once, and 500
per hour. I use a postnuke newsletter module called pntresmailer. I can tell
it to use smtp or regular mail. smtp simply does not work. I have emailed
ipowerweb and they have not replied. I really want to have a good, fast smtp
solution. Can someone point me to some sites that offer fast smtp mailing,
suitable for newsletter mailings?

I think VerticalResponse is a big email provider.
