need a script which would e-mail download link to client but the link should
expire in particular amount of time...try to find something but no
success...anybody knows

I can think of too many abuses for such a script.

If you put a zip file in your web directory then email the URL to it (no
webpage needed) then it will download when clicked. If you move that zip at
a later date then the link would be broken.

What part of that did you need scripted?

I would bet that he's planning for success. Can you imagine doing it
your way hundreds of times a day?

I figured he wanted it scripted but was trying to get a feel for what parts
of it. Setting up a cron job to manage a database using temp
files/directories on a timeout rotation comes to mind. But that might be
overkill.
