No probs Phil.
You _CAN_ run:
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl graceful
etc, but this says (according to Apache):
"Restart Apache gracefully"
Either way, says to me "restart in some fashion".
There's more info on <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://httpd.apache.org/" target="_blank">http://httpd.apache.org/</a> regarding the various
options for apachectl if you're interested in learning some more (I'm
not sure of them all off the top of my head.. so can't list them here).
The 'net start|stop" should work on win2k / XP etc.. but looked like you
were running on a *nix box with the path structure / dir names =)
Good luck with Apache.. can guarentee you won't regret switching from
IIS =)
Regards,
Ian
