Can't get discussion web to work on W2K3 - incompatible..

Ok, I'm using FrontPage 2002 to publish a web to a
Windows2003 server running IIS and FrontPage Server
Extensions installed from the Add/Remove components. I
used IIS to extend the site. I created a discussion web
and when you try to post to it, the web browser returns:

"FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page
that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server
Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work
correctly if you publish this web to a web server that
has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page."

So after doing some research, I go into Microsoft
Sharepoint administrator and notice that the default web
site is at version 6.0.2.4920. I swear the version was
5.something just the other day when the message board did
work. Now it has somehow updated itself and the board is
broken. Also, if I try to change in attributes in
Sharepoint Administrator for the FrontPage Server
Extensions 2002 Server Administration page, I get the
error:
"The server administration programs and the server
extensions on the web server are not compatible. The
administration program is too old to use with this
server."

Any help to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled IIS, published my web
back to it, and the message board works for about a day,
then the version number changes itself again (from 5. to
6.) and everything breaks again. Thanks,

Windows Server 2003 is IIS6, Windows 2000 is IIS5 and XP Pro is
IIS5.1. The only way to change the version is to upgrade the OS.

The FP2002 extensions are administered from a web page, not the MMC

Might try the FPSE group for help here, I haven't loaded FPSE on
Server 2003 so I'm not actually sure it works correctly.
