i would like to know the best course i could take to get a job in web
design or Ecommerce, i already have a HND admin info management.

Howdy Rosie,

This you are going to have to find out what companies in your area are
looking for. I haven't found anything I can recommend offered by colleges
and universities as a specific course that will teach you what you really
need to know. You need a wide spread of skills to be successful as a web
designer.

Before you consider starting, you need to be an excellent typist and very
good at English composition. You don't use the Shift key properly already.

If you don't have an aptitude for programming and precision, that will
seriously get in your way. Computers do not understand almost, sorta, or
maybe.

It makes no difference what classes you've completed. What counts is the
appearance of your own website and your portfolio. How you present yourself
on the web is what will get you jobs or send people elsewhere.

I have recently completed my HND in Retail Management, and I was
interested in using what I have learned from that in starting up my
own e-commerce business.
Could anybody please help me with some advice on where I should go
from here?

I am currently studying e-commerce and would like to enquire what
shall I look for in a good website - i.e. analysis of a website so
that I may compare and contrast different sites for my forthcoming
project in stock trading.

Would appreciate any comments?!

This may sound kind of obvious but the first order of business is to
find out what people or businesses need or want. For example, are
there insurance companies or autobody companies who could need or want
recycled auto parts. If so, do you have the connections to put these
entities in touch. Don't make the mistake of creating a business and
then trying to find someone who may want your product. Another bit of
advice is to find a niche as narrow as possible. Here, you will find
people or businesses who need and or want your product. They will

You should analyse a website on the following parameters:
1. Business model of the website.
2. revenue model.
3. strategic marketing communications strategy undertaken by them.
4. how popular is the website with search engine.
5. What is the USP of the site.
6. speed of the website.
7. is the site user friendly.
8. how secure is the payment gateway.

As far as stock trading is concerened - does the website offer foreign
shares as well, or primarliy deals with american markets only.
- are Good trading software provided.
- do they need margin accounts.
- how secure is online transaction?
- how much commission ( load ) they are charching?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

As you are an HND in Retail Management, I would advise you not to go
for ecommerce, but rather go for eprocurement, that is more concerned
