Archived from groups: alt>www>webmaster (more info?)

We have a RAQ550 and want to upgrade it to something better since they are
EOL and still bug riddled. We only host about 20 domains with about 900
email addresses but growing as a small ISP.

Question, which is best? I am leaning towards Plesk since it has a RAQ550
import abillity. I want a solution that allows end email users the abillity
to login and setup there own junk mail rules. I also need webmail access.
I also want antivirus but think I can add that with CLamAV somehow like we
did on the RAQ.
Any suggestions?

Matt

It would be nice if they could configure SPAM filter options in the webmail
and have a SPAM folder thats not downloaded with POP3.

If you turn spamassassian on and tell it to place the spam in "spam" folder

Cpanel online demo has been down for months. Apparentlly they are not
working to hard to get new users. They offer a 30 day trial copy or
something like that but spending a day setting up a Linux box and installing
Cpanel seems like a lot of work just to see what it looks like.

Email my Support Team if you want.
They'll set you up a demo to poke at if you want to take a look.
Besides, cpanel's demo is old version.

Of the ones you mention, I have only used Cpanel and Ensim.

I found Cpanel much better. Cleaner, more intuitive, everything you
need, everything works.

Rapidly becoming the norm now. Familiar for users.

Experience with both as well. Cpanel, definitely...far superior.

Interesting. I've only used Plesk, so I can't compare, but I've heard people
say that CPanel is less stable and that Plesk is better in their opinion.

I'm happy with Plesk. Smile

Naturally Cpanel is the only one without RAQ import ability. The other 2 do
have RAQ import capability.

Anyone know how to move everything out of a RAQ550 into CPanel? Anyone do
it for a fee?

We have around 50 Cpanel servers and they are all stable. We've had one
minor incident, months ago, that was directly related to a Cpanel upgrade.

The only thing you don't want to do is leave auto-upgrade enabled...don't
let Cpanel automatically install upgrades. Like any software release, you
want to wait until you're sure the new release is relatively bug-free.

Cpanel makes so much money, they don't need to work too hard on getting new
customers. Razz

I'll have an empty Cpanel server you can play around with for a few, in
about a week. We are taking back one of our dedicated servers (...long
story), but have given the customer until the 25th to get his files moved.
You can poke around on it after we're finished wiping it. Email me, if
you're interested.

If you are talking about cpanel it does.
Also the spam folder is only downloaded if you use IMAP. Pop leaves it alone<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Can it be setup to automatically empty old messages out of the Spam folder
when it gets to large?
