Hello,

how can I configure apache (at AIX 4.3.3) to use our Windows domain for the
authentication of usernames ?
I have to configure it so that all users of a special subnet can see the
site and all users from other subnet if they are in a special windows user
group.
Apache is running at AIX 4.3.3 and the machine also runs a samba server.
So how can I combine this ?

Regards

If you are using Active Directory, just use mod_auth_ldap and point it
to the DC, otherwise, you could use Windows Services for Unix to
export the list of the users to the AIX machine and authenticate
against that list. Isn't a 'live' authentication but it will do.

Thanks, but I heared of a method to use samba client sw to give apache
