Hi Mable,
taking a look at your site i have a few suggestions.
you are trying to market yourself as a seller of "high tech" gadgets
but your design doesn't really portray that. I suggest looking at the
way <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.bestbuy.com" target="_blank">www.bestbuy.com</a> <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.circuitcity.com" target="_blank">www.circuitcity.com</a> and <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.tigerdirect.com" target="_blank">www.tigerdirect.com</a>
organize their site and make a note of the "look and feel" of the
sites. Those sites are some of the first places i look when pricing
out consumer electronics.
I'm not sure if you have on hand inventory or if you are using a
dropship company to fulfill orders but your pricing is a little above
the average costs i see on other sites so you have ask yourself an
objective question. Why would someone choose to buy from me over
someone else.
i did a google search for your featured product (Fuji FinePix S7000)
and the first result gave me a price about $86 cheaper than yours plus
the company has been in business for 21 years which honestly makes me
more comfortable than what your about page says. If you are using a
drop shipper then try to sell their credibility and longevity untill
you establish your own. If not, don't even mention how long you have
been open and try to portray yourself as a brick and morter
establishment. There is a hesitation to purchase big ticket items from
a newly opened internet only storefront.
i don't mean to sound so negative but it would serve you well to take
a very critical look at your site. The market you are targeting is
very competitve so being a little guy you will have to be very
innovative in presenting yourself.
a couple of marketing ideas would be offer product reviews and allow
visitors to make comments about the product. see amazon.com for a few
more ideas along that line.
Your links are all in javascript so assuming a search engine spider
found you it wouldn't be able to crawl any further than your first
page.
Your front page needs more content showing off your inventory.
Get the page counter off the site as soon as possible.
Read up on search engine optimization.
Try to get other websites to link back to you.
I wish you the best of luck and again please don't think i am trying
to beat up on you.
