I own a photography company and am in the process of selling my work online
through www.RegSoft.com, but they do not provide shopping cart services. I
need a service or software that will allow me to integrate my current
Website structure with an ecommerce solution. Any suggestions on software
that is $500 (or less) or a service that provides a nice cart system that
will integrate seamlessly with my website...?

Please click reply and remove the 'nospam' instances. Thanks!

I use the MIVA Merchant shopping cart for several clients. You can lease the
cart thru a hosting service for as little as $10 a month. Check out
....www.westhost.com, <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.netnation.com" target="_blank">www.netnation.com</a> and <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.pair.com" target="_blank">www.pair.com</a> for their MIVA
Merchant hosting.

MIVA Merchant is an easy to use web based shopping cart. You can run it as
is, or customize it to do almost anything you need.

Good Luck,
Dave

(I'm partially pasting my response to another guy in this
newsgroup...)

You may want to try the following service. It allows you to create
many different products, setup individual shipping and taxes and they
have also very powerfull marketing module. Then you just link to
speciffic product links from your website and your store is ready to
receive orders. I believe this is exactly what you are looking for as
it will perfectly integrate with your existing website. Just create
"Buy Now" or "Add to cart" links on your existing website using the
link the system generates and it's done!

Shopping cart is easy to use and it is easy to use any of many credit
card processing companies including paypal. You can set up automatic
thank you emails, it will maintain the list of your clients for you so
you can send them a newsletter or special offer emails in the future.
You can also use their affiliate module to help marketing your product
- this part is really very powerful. I was truly amazed bu the list of
features they offer. Price is very affordable and they offer different
packages - you do not have to use all the features.

Their support team is very responsive and helpful and they should be
able to help you set up a solution that fits your needs.

Singn up for one free month and try to create your store using their
system. If you do not like it you just don't use it. I like it very
much myslef. I starting writing my own system at one point but this is
hard to beat.

Check the following link:

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best wishes,
Rado

All I have to say on that note...you get what you pay for.

NetNation and Pair.com cant configure the server side of Miva to save
their lives.

The jury is still out on westhost.

If you are going to invest in your online business, be smart about it.

The cheap way out isnt always the saavy business solution.

There are several top quality hosts who specialize in Miva. Many hosts
offer Miva as a 'value added' service to their webhosting accounts, or
for very cheap... cheap is exactly what you get. Little to no support
for Miva, limited knowledge, poorly configured and performing servers,
and overcrowding of shared hosting enviornments.

How about <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.olm.net?" target="_blank">www.olm.net?</a> They are a pretty reputable hosting
company with MIVA as a value added option. Their prices are
fairly reasonable too. The low end hosting package lets you sell
(I think) 50 different items per site(?) HTH
