figure out is how to compete with the hundreds of other web sites offering
the same drop-ship catalog. The keywords that match your site also match
thousands of other web sites.

One of your bigger problems is your Robot tags allow the web crawlers to
follow every product link on your site. That will get you black listed as a
spammer.

Your biggest market is within driving distance of where you are. Get
associated with some local stores that carry similar products that will add
your site URL to their advertising.

Hi Steve,

Unfortunately there is no quick fix or 100% sure fire way to market
any website. You need to spend time investigating the many tools
available to you to see which one will work best for your particular
website.

The most popular methods to market websites are
• viral marketing techniques (word of mouth i.e. Tell a friend about
this special offer)
• Permission marketing – your own email database of people who have
signed up to find out more about your products (that is very
important, you do not want to send emails to people who haven't ask
for them)
• Search Engine Optimisation.

This last one is probably the most talked about but it is also a mine
field, it's worth taking time to read up about each search engine and
their ranking criteria and as Chris has said looking at what your
competitors are doing online and how to be one step ahead of them.

A very good book that may help you is ‘101 ways to promote your
website' by Susan Sweeny, we recommend it to our clients and more info
