After installing IIS several times I can't get it to work.
The installation seems to be completed successful but I
can't get it to work.

If I open the Internet Information Services in the
Administrative Tools I see my computer and that's it. No
sign of a default website and so on. In the right pane it
says the PCVINCENT, local = YES, Version = IIS
V22147.59039 and Status = empty.

Can anybody help me with this problem.

Kind regards,

Vincent

Hello Vinnie,

It sounds like we are not really completing the installation...

What you'll need to do is open the IIS5.log file

this file will show you the install steps and order - Search on

[***** Search on FAIL/MessageBox keywords for failures *****]

to find the errors and post them back here... or simply post the file... it
sounds like it might be kinda big since you've been trying this a few
times, so there's likely going be repeat information...

Thank you,

Ya, I think that's a known issue ( updated in a service pack for something)

But that's the correct file.

If you can't upload the file using a newsgroup tool like outlook, then just
past the file into a message...
