XP Pro IIS Install Hanging

Hi,

I'm attempting to install IIS on my XP laptop, however when the
Configurating Components gets to a status of 'Installing Internet
Information Services...' it seems to freeze.

I am administrator on my computer, and i've given it about 20 minutes.

Any ideas?

Check the IIS6.log file to see if that shows any errors. (search for Fail)
Do you have any Anti-Virus software running?
What Service Pack is XP on?
Can you install other services in the control panel such as the fax
service?
