Hardly worth scanning, it's only a few words and a tiny screengrab. Here's
the details and words...

Practical Internet Sept 2003 Page 69.

READER'S SITES
<screengrab>
WILLIAM TASSO
ww.williamtasso.com
This is more traditional than the other sites we've mentioned above, and is
worth highlighting as it makes great use of style sheets to create a
good-looking site without too much in the way of fussy graphics. You could
say it is a little light on content, but this is easily remedied with the
strong structure and design present.
<article ends>

I guess nobody ever told them that content was king Surprisedp

Oh, and I got a name check in Jack magazine this month Surprised) Must have been a
slow month.

Nah, letter of the month and £80 of software as a prize - that's what I call
damn good Surprisedp [Rocky July 2003] hehe.

PI is a great mag IMHO, dot Net used to be the best, but these days PI
covers much more ground and has a heck of alot more content - big-up Paragon
Publishing.

On the strength of that, I may well purchase it tomorrow, or at least grab a
free look in the newsagents to see Mr Tasso's credit!

Well done with the prize Rocky!

Thanks for the heads-up. so I went out a bought the mag[1] - not sure if
I'm completely happy with the implication that I am a regular reader -
reference is in Readers' sites sub-section - as I've never bought one
before, nor did I submit my URL for review. but hey - there's no such thing
as bad publicity, right? and on balance, the editorial, though short and
sweet, doesn't say anything atrocious. wonder what the connection is?

 > I guess nobody ever told them that content was king Surprisedp

quite so, but it has a 'strong stucture' - it says so in the magazine. he
hee.

 > Oh, and I got a name check in Jack magazine this month Surprised) Must have
 > been a slow month.

indeed ;o)

incidently, they've used a screen shot that is at least 3 months old - as I
recall the site only looked like that for about a day - or similar, maybe
the pic has been retouched?

[1] is this the beginning of a new type of spam? beats referal spamming ;o)

I find that very interesting - it begs the question, where the heck did they
find your website?

Well, they can't very well write "William Tasso, whom we have never
heard of (and most likely won't hear of ever again), and who doesn't
give a flying fuck about our magazine anyway, ..."

See what I mean?

in this case the webmaster section is 27 pages with more sections and
sub-sections than you can throw a stick at. I have no issue with the
magazine including the URL [1] - Readers' sites just seems an odd location
for it.

 > See what I mean?

completely lucid as usual ;o)
