Post subject: Website remote available, not local!
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis, others (more info?)

Operating system : Windows XP Pro (English)
Service : IIS 5.1
User : LocalAdmin (Local Administrator)

Hello,

I installed "IIS" on my computer only standard. I didn't change any option
until I know what to do!! I studied but couldn't find the answer on the next
problem :

When I want to access IIS form my own computer (http:\\192.168.0.1 or
http:\\127.0.0.1 ) I receive a Popup box were I have to put a username and
password. My own userename and password is nopt accepted.
When I connect to the website from another computer (192.168.0.2) to my
computer (192.168.0.1) I receive the default website (Under construction)
from IIS!

What do I have to do to connect to my website locally?

Thanx,

Marco J.L.

And double-check your IE settings in the connections; uncheck everything, unless you are behind a proxy or ISA box.

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.
