Hello ~
We are excited to share with that the IIS Webcast Series continues tomorrow
morning. It would be great and exciting to have any and all of you join us
to learn how the command line tools IIsBack differs from IIsCnfg.
The goal of the IIS Webcast series is to enlighten our customers with
regards to ways to more effectively manage, administer, and use IIS. For a
detailed listing of future events, please feel free to contact us at
iiswcast DeleteThis @microsoft.com.
Event Title: IIS 6.0: IIsCnfg.vbs versus IIsBack.vbs - Level 200
Event Description:
IIS 6.0 adds two new command line utilities that aid administrators in
managing a IIS 6.0 server locally or remotely. These tools, iiscnfg and
iisback, offer similar functionality but are targeted at solving different
objectives. The tools use the new IIS WMI provider and offer convenient
methods of backing up the entire IIS metabase or even small portions of the
metabase such as virtual directories. This webcast will explore and
demonstrate many of the uses and hopefully clear up any confusion
administrators may have using these tools.
