Hello,

I was just looking to the logfile configuration in IIS why the logfiles
don't contain the referer-field. But the tree-view in the "Extended logging
options" box is empty!?!

Does anyone know if this is another crazy limitation in the web-edition??

I'll ask around about this.

I do not think there are any IIS-related limitations on the Web SKU.

Check you check your install to make sure it was successful? Check
%SYSTEMROOT%\SetupErr.log and make sure it is zero bytes, and check
%SYSTEMROOT%\IIS6.log and make sure "Error" does not exist in it.

Dear David,

none of these files exist on my machine.

Any ideas?

Dear Bernard,

ok, I found the file. But there is no FAIL or Error inside.

I don't get any messages from IIS. But the column-list box is empty. Crazy..

Should I try to re-install IIS?

Will the web-configuration be saved when I uninstall and re-install IIS or
do I need to save any specific config file?

Use Backup/Restore from the IIS Manager UI to save your configuration.

Logging is supposed to fully function.
