I've followed all the directions (by the book) for
setting up a virtual site at least 4 times and I'm not
getting any results. Page cannot be displayed. Are they
any known facts, commom mistakes or tips about IIS 5 that
I'm overloooking? Please help!!

Turn off IE's "Show Friendly HTTP Errors" option and report the actual
error.

I suspect that you have some sort of DNS/networking error (which has NOTHING
to do with IIS) which prevents your browser from actually locating your
websites on the server, hence no matter how correctly you configure the
virtual site, it cannot be displayed by a browser.

Thanks for you response!
I turned off the friendly errors, but message did not
change. Still:HTTP 404-File not found, The page cannot be
found.

Since we have some 'anomolies' on our network from time
to time, I would lean more in the direction of the
DNS/networking side. What are some general or specific
things I can ask the network guys to check out to solve
this issue?

Big Thanks!!
