Try recycling the app pool. Also, can you access the directory from a web browser?
Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.

| Dear Gurus!
|
| (WinXP Pro, VS.NET 2002(VB))
|
| I am currently having a problem with virtual directories. When I create
| directories under my VS.Net application they dint appear in IIS Manager!!
| but if you try to create another with the same name it says that the name I
| am using is not unique.
|
| The directories I am creating are created using ADSI script. The reason for
| this is as follows....
|
| I have a SQL Table with a list of paths, when the .Net application fires I
| am using the application on start event to read the SQL table, any virtual
| dirs that dont exist with that path are created, and ones that exist are
| checked to ensure the path hasn't changed if they have then they are
| updated.
|
| Has anyone done this before? and have you encountered these issues???
|
| Thank you in advance!
| Regards,
| Mark.
