Hey, I just ran across this and I wonder if there's a fix for it. If on an
Windows 2000, SP4 machine you go into the properties for a website, to
Directory Security, and then View Certificate then all IIS requests to that
website stop working (although other websites hosted on that box continue to
function.) I've confirmed this on a number of different websites we host
and every time you View Certificate on that website it stops responding, and
as soon as you say OK it starts working again. Anyone know a fix for this?

This had been reported earlier this year on this newsgroup and has been
fixed. It is slated for release in the next W2K SP.

Brad,

I posted this one way back in February 2002 but haven't seen a fix for
it as yet :

The fix did not make W2KSP4. It is slated for what looks like "W2KSP5".

Following newsgroup reports several months ago, I got this in as a bug to
fix, and checking on its status now, it has been tested, regressed, and is
just waiting for the SP as a release vehicle.
