The OP should ditch that IE crapola.

I used to use Netscape 3 and then Opera way back when new
functionality was being added to HTML, scripts etc. so fast that
unless you used a new-ish version half the sites on the web didn't
work.
I gave up and switched to IE when Opera moved to a new version and
effectively abandoned the version I was using which
a. meant I had to pay them again if I didn't want ads on my screen
b. meant I had to spend more time learning where everything was, how
it works, since they changed so much even down to menu letters which I
tend to use automatically after a while and hate spending energy
re-learning.
c. at the time worked on fewer sites than IE worked with.
These policies - problems are all MS standard of course, which IMHO
doesn't make them justifiable. If Opera et al didn't copy them I might
still be a customer of theirs.
IE6 is moderately stable with win 2000 and I suspect 'll be able to
stick with that for quite a while, why on earth would I want to learn
a new set of bugs.
PS still using Excel 4 for the same reason - copyright 1992! - still
does all I need to do.
