Can anyone recommend a lower cost, reliable web host with a very "user
friendly" interface for setting up your account, moving files....setting up
email?

i.e. do this, do that, click here, see spot, see spot run

I'm using affordable host and really annoyed by their lack of
guidance......when it comes to a question their response is "visit our live
chat room".......

the chat room where I'm the ONLY ONE LOGGED IN.

You would probably be best served by a host that provides telephone support.
For that reason, I suggest you base your search on geography.

In any event, good luck.

I would recommend ourselves but we are not lower cost - although we can do
almost everything for you!

Out of luck with us - we do not have a chat room (does that mean we have
even less people in it?)

Our hosting partners have proven both affordable and dependable,
http://www.drw.net. We at http://www.auixc.com have over two dozen
clients hosted with them and best thing no chat room Smile Hope this
helps.

If you can't find your way around cPanel then you'll have problems
