I'm seeking a webhosting provider; my experience in this has been less
than phenominal. I've dealt with a few (0catch, Geocities, Tripod) and
I'm very upset with one thing:

Everytime I look into upgrading my service, they tell me I REQUIRE A
CREDIT CARD, or a VISA "check card" which aren't available here in
Canada.

Thing is, I don't hold one. I don't like credit cards. I want to pay
using Paypal, money orders, personal cheques, whatever.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks!

Fine so far...

Oh dear! This is alt.freewebhosting ...

(a) use <http://groups.google.com/> and look back at past posts
regarding FREE hosting - there have been plenty of comments over
the past year or so... or
(b) consider looking on Ebay, for some hosting account, as there
will be reasonable (or perhaps ridiculously low fees) and payment
using PayPal will normally be expected/standard/fine. HTH. Peter.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I know, this is free web hosting conversation, but you gotta start
somewhere. Many of the free host sites offer advanced services...so
that's my thought process.

Well there's also alt.paidwebhosting and alt.www.webmaster.ads so
while I can understand if this is the only group you saw, a search
using <http://groups.google.com/> for hosting may have guided you
to other newsgroups, perhaps...<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
