Post subject: Upgrade issue
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Once upon a time I learned all of the command switches for the
'configure' script and then entrenched the ones I need/use into a
'rebuild' script. The intent of that was to allow me to capture the
settings so that upgrades would be straightforward. All was good for
years and years until 2.0.53/2.0.54.

When I do my same-ole same-ole process to build a new
version...everything builds fine but a whole raft of my configuration
scripts are now broken. Things like 'ScriptAlias' not being
understood...and ditto for 'Allow' directives.

My configuration scripts are divided up by feature type. I have the
traditional httpd.conf and then I have all of the site cofiguration
files in ./conf.d/*.conf. This includes files like virthost.conf and
directories.conf (where I define special access privs). The main
configuration script loads the other conf files...or it tries to.

I'm stuck...I am sure that something changed in the way that commands or
builds work between 2.0.52 and 2.0.53...or there is a command that I
need to add...or something like that...but I haven't the time to
re-explore the 100's of commands and which might be the culprit. I'm
hoping that someone can recognize what is going on and can nudge me in
the right direction to getting it working again.

TIA,
Kevin

Hello,

Did I miss something? Is this the place to come for help? If I need to
provide more information let me know. I'm completely stuck here.

Thanks,
Kevin
