Unable to download a large .exe file

Hi All,
I have IIS5 running on an W2KAS server with 2CPU and 2Gig of RAM.
It is uptodate with service packs and hot fixes

Basically I have a large (580MB) .exe file that I want people to download, however regardless who connects it takes a few minutes for the 'save / open / cancel' dialog to appear. Then if you click save it just saves a 0Kb file and stops.

If I change the extension of the file to something else (like .de) it all works fine.

Anyone got any ideas?

Please make sure that the directory which stores this file has no
Execution option enabled in IIS MMC.
