Post subject: Unable to have a FrontPage form e-mail results.
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have created a new site and imported the original site in from another
server. I am having a problem with the forms, I am unable to add an e-mail
address for the results to be sent to. When I try to add the e-mail in
FrontPage I recieve the following message: "This form cannot be configured to
send results via e-mail. The Web site may be located at a disk-based
location, or on a server that has not been configured to send email. Contact
your system admin or ISP for more info, Would you like to remove the e-mail
reciepient?"

- I have tried creating a new form with same results.
- I have created a new form in another web sit eon the same server and I
dont have the problem.
- I have confirmed that FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 Server
Administration page has a my smtp server which is the same as the site I
mentioned above this note.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Can't remember but FrontPage forms may only use a local SMTP server.
Check the FrontPage groups for a better answer.

I am using and have it setup to use the local SMTP server, also as I
mentioned, I have it setup the same way as another Site on the same server
and I dont get the error message on that one.
