Hello,
I am trying to use the UPS Time in Transit application and it is
returning unexpected
results. We generate an XML file with Source and Destination
information, send it to
the UPS site https://www.ups.com/ups.app/xml/TimeInTransit to process
and it
should return the various shipping options and time via XML. Some
destination addresses
I send to it get responses from UPS like their service is not available
when it is. If
I go to the UPS website and use their interactive Time in Transit web
page I get
numerous options which is what I would expect from their TNT
application. I get no
response from UPS support on this question which is why I am posting it
here. Has
anyone run into this issue with UPS and/or know how to resolve it?
Thanks in advance.
Joe

Howdy,

Tell me about it. That's why my BIZyCart Ecommerce Server software uses
their web pages and parses out what it needs. Using their API, you are
mixed in with more simultaneous requests from other software and it's easier
to hit brief overload conditions.

I have the least problem with USPS. FedEx is overloaded or down the most
often. The UPS and DHL's web sites are fairly reliable.

You are trying to work with a massive company that feels they will get your
business anyway. If they lose yours, they don't feel it is going to change
their stock standings.

If you get an unusable response, have your software wait a few seconds and
try again. If that fails, have it send you an E-Mail so you know when there
are problems.
