I would like to be able to register www.myname.org.uk for 10 years but
no-one seems to do it for that long.


I just want

- domain name forwarding (e.g. www.myname.org.uk ---->
www.geocities.com/myname) possibly with domain name masking

- email so mail.TakeThisOut@myname.org.uk ----> myname.TakeThisOut@yahoo.com (i.e. just
forwarding)

I need a company with a good reputation and good value.

I have been considering:

easyspace.com
godaddy.com

freeparking.co.uk


Any advice?

I use both of the above, and both are pretty good. IMHO, GoDaddy has the
better interface, and is easier to use, but (IIRC) FreeParking is
cheaper for .uk domains. On the other hand, for .com domains, GoDaddy is
much cheaper.

As you are looking for .org.uk, I would personally use FreeParking.

Will be owner of freeparking.com be able to read all my email (as it is
going to be forwarded by them to my real address)?

I use Godaddy, and although you cannot reg. a domain for 10 years as you
know, you can set your control panel at Godaddy to autorenew your domain for
you, so in effect it will be yours for 10-20-30 years, as long as your
credit card details are correct Surprised)

I shouldn't imagine so, as that's not how email forwarding works. It's a
matter of having a couple (?) of lines in a file somewhere on their
server that causes all of your emails to *automatically* be forwarded.

Yes, they do free e-mail forwarding. I hold a number of domains through them
and are very happy with them.
