Hi,

I'm a newbie at this.

My client wants their domain submitted to (mainly UK) search engines ASAP.
This sort of rules out waiting 3 months for Google to have a look.

Should I pay a company to submit the URL to search engines? Is LookSmart any good?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Chobb

As far as I know, most people in the UK use Google.

There is always Google.co.uk

If you get someone to link to your site, it will take no more than a few
weeks (sometimes days) for Google to list you.

The best thing to do would be to take out an ad on Google using their
adwords <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://adwords.google.com" target="_blank">http://adwords.google.com</a>

These can be targetted to searchers from the UK.
