Generally no. To me turnkeys are the "for $250 we build you a site to sell
our 30,000 products wholesale". To me those are basic pyramids. Get in
early or dont bother.

But I am always on the lookout for good sites that let you add something to
your site for commission. CafePress I like. Amazon and Barnes&Noble are ok
but too complicated for too little result. But until I find better they do
add nicely to the theme of a site.

Question for the group. If "turnkey" as a search word leads automatically
to the wrong places, and "commission" leads to too many sites that also
dont appear trustworthy.. then what search words or site would you use to
find places that let you build on YOUR theme.

I like them, webmastering for the programming and artistically
challenged. What's the difference between getting a script from
hotscripts, hosting it and setting all the skin and color parameters,
and just logging into a remote server and doing the same?

I especially like the big "YOU COULD OWN A SITE JUST LIKE THIS FOR $20"
ad they stick on them, gives you that sense of "I customised it myself"
feeling!

If you have the traffic ready I don't see any harm just because its not
an authentic product. Intellectual property (your own artwork, code,
concept, design, wording...) is not the only value in a website, if
visitors are a surplus and you want to capitalise off them then turnkey
will work.

I find "shipping" is a good word to find sales outlets.
