Post subject: Supress directory listings.
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

I know this has been asked before but I have been unable to find it in my
searches.

Distro: Redhat 9
Server Apache 2.*

I would like to keep the directory contents from being displayed when there
is no index file available. Thanks for the help.

In the <Directory directive of your httpd.conf put

Options -Indexes
