Hi all, Just started using subversion (similar to CVS), and am wondering
about the methodology. Firstly, I have a folder called subversion where all
the working code resides on the server (e.g. /home/user/subversion). This
works fine, but what do I need to do when I want to put that code live? I
only want to put the files that have changed into /home/user/public_html/. I
cannot see a way of doing this without copying the entire folder across
which misses the main benefits of subversion. Any advice on my setup?

Secondly, the password prompts are very very often. For example, a SVN
update using tortoise SVN, asks for the password 2 or three times before it
works. Each time the password is typed correctly, it's just something it
does. I'm not sure why.

Thanks

Nick

Thanks, that's great. Have it working just fine now.

Manuals are great for when you know what to look for!

Are you a Python programmer (among your other talents) - ISTR you are.

There is a Python library for subversion - goes some way to enabling
automation if required.

I'm really not sure how to read that. I'm either proud of myself or worried
what these other talents are!

I've never really played with Python. I play mainly with PHP.
