All,
We have the following problem. We uninstalled IIS 5.1,
then reinstalled it. Now as a result, we get the following
error each time we try to start the World Wide Web
Publishing Service:
could not start the World Wide Web Publishing Service on
Local Computer. Error 3:The system can no find the path
specified.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Yann

Well When I look at services and click on properties it
shows that the path is: C:\WINDOWS\System32
\inetsrv\inetinfo.exe
Is there somewhere else Where I should put the Path?

Thanks for the Help.

When I look at the properties of the Services it shows
C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exe. Is there somewhere else where
I should set the path?

Did you reboot between uninstalling and reinstalling? Try this:

uninstall
reboot
ensure you have a NIC with ms client, tcp/ip, and file/printer sharing
be on sp1 and windowsupdate
install iis
run windowsupdate again.

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.
