Post subject: New Sql server developer edition for less than $50

If you create web sites and you're on Windows and interested in using SQL
Server, you might want to know that Microsoft has reduced the price of SQL
Server developer edition to less than $50. You can find it at Amazon for
less than $45. Although MySQL can be had and used for free, SQL Server has
all the enterprise features. I am not sure where MySQL is at from the
missing features it used to have like, triggers, stored procedures,
subqueries.

Looks like they will be in 5.0 which is not out yet.
Also for the features to be added in the near future, they are already in
sql server.

And if, like most of the web world, you are on the ultra-reliable Unix, then
this expensive option will be of no use to you.

I specifically said in my first line "if you're on Windows". Linux/Unix
need not apply. Some hosts offer sql server hosting for no extra charge,
it's not expensive.
