Like most *nix packages there is a sequence that goes from dev (oft buggy)
through to production stable (bugs gone
It is a balancing act to choose the most up-to-date-ver with the least bugs
one can live with. Generally 2 or 3 vers back from the latest upgrade are
stable and thus less likely to cause problems - or at least the problems are
known and can be worked with. Some of us work only with the ver thats known
to be 'safe' but with a little less functionality while others live on the
edge and go for the latest up-date.
Without the upgrade - and by turning off password reset (for resellers) it
is quite stable. The up-grade which fixes the password problem unfortunately
introduces some new problems. IMHO better to avoid - at least in a
production (read $$$) environment:-)
