Post subject: Slow access from some workstations
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi,

Our Intranet runs on a Windows 2003 Standard member server and has suddenly
developed a problem. The first page appears quickly on all computers, but,
on many (not all) workstations, if a users tries a link to another page, the
page is very slow in appearing (4-5 minutes). It does eventually appear with
no error message.

On other workstations, pages appear instantly as used to be the case with
all just a few days ago. I have restarted the server and thoroughly checked
the IP settings on these workstations to make sure everything is OK there.

Any thoughts on what causes this or what else I can check to find the cause?

Thanks,

John

Is this using IE7? Does it happen with clients using IE6 or Firefox?

Happens with both IE6 & IE7. Haven't tried Firefox. It has suddenly started
though. We have had the same configuration for months.
