Nope.
May be a DNS issue. Tried to ping them, "could not find host".

Maybe a network problem. Traceroute to 66.245.184.192 returns:
12.118.102.5 reports: Destination host unreachable"
Another route just stops at 64.200.226.117

Tried to ping your IP 66.245.184.192
Timed out. Perhaps not DNS, but network issue.

Why? Is this happened often? Hav'nt they all some "bad days" from time
to time. It can be a full time job to change host everytime your sites
are down for some hours

The problem is, right now is REALLY critical for us... we're loosing
maybe 300 visitors an hour - maybe not a big deal for some ppl, but for
this site is REALLY important for our reputation. Plus, I cannot afford
for ANY emails to bounce out of the box.
They have been a really good host, but 6 hours downtime is a LONG
time... still, it's early morning where they are (outside of New
York)... I really hope they fix it soon or I'll start sinking fast.

I understand that it's always critical for business, when the servers
go down. But that is something that does happen from time to time, for
everyone. I know it's not easy to cheer you up at the moment, but
that's what I try to do now
I guess no one can give a 100 percent uptime guarantee and with 99,9
percent it's possible statisticaly to have 8 to 9 hours downtime in a
row if the 0,01 percent comes all at one time.
I guess everyone who use the Internet often (every day or several
times a week) is also used to see that things like this happend, so
can't belive that your reputation is in any way in jeopardy because of
this.

If it's that critcal, don't rely on Internet at all for your business.
But on the other hand, what would your business be if you don't have
the Internet at all? What did they do before the "invention" that is
called Internet, to do business?

I realise that. We have our own pet server too (called Spider) who sits
in our little design studio at home. Customers can sign into that to
preview work. She's had a few crashes over the years. But at least when
she's down I'm there to fix her, or at least I know what's up. But right
now it appears my host and ALL their sites and customers' sites have
vanished.

True... but it's heading rapidly towards a day of outage now. I guess
they can afford 3 days outage before they go outside their SLA. Not
comforting!

I'm a web designer... kind of stuck with using the 'net for critical
business stuff!

Yeah... writing books for kids. Maybe about a boy who goes to a special
school for wizards, because his parents... hmmm...
(runs off to a cafe)

One reason why I always pick hosts with alternate (non-internet)
