Okay... so I first had this thought back in....... oohhh... frickin
1995????? And to this day... I still don't know. And SOME DAY... I do
hope to have my own shop on 'net. so here goes:

1) How does one program a *ah-hem* SHOPPING CART? Let me rephrase:
How does a programmer code a shopping cart?

2) I'm guessing QUESTION 1 is rhetorical. One doesn't. Instead they
find a 'shopping cart solution' I guess what i'm trying to ask is the
more relevant question: What is the name of the first company who
provided e-commerce sooooooffftwaaare solutions?

come on.....help a brother out.

Peace,
Beantown Brother.

Howdy,

I was one of the first way back before anyone knew the Internet was going to
exist via BIZynet BBS. When I started coding BIZyCart there were only four
or five scripts that worked available. It's come a long way since them.

BIZyCart is still one of the only solutions that is compiled and runs as a
server instead of a bunch of hackable scripting. A CGI equivilant would
require installing over 600 Kb of scripting.

Thanks, Chris <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.bizynet.com" target="_blank">www.bizynet.com</a> and <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.bizycart.com" target="_blank">www.bizycart.com</a>

I don't know about 1995 or any earlier, but the company I work for -
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.monstercommerce.com" target="_blank">http://www.monstercommerce.com</a>
- started as the company they are today around 1998. They've grown to more
than 50+ employees with a work hard & play hard attitude. The software
development is 100% client driven, with online forums, 24/7 tech support,
etc., etc., if you are looking for a good solution, check us out. The
software is easily configurable.
